Jerusalem Nature Museum
Public Building
The Jerusalem Nature Museum proposal weaves the spatial organisation of a museum with the future ‘Museums Boulevard’ in Jerusalem. It merges an existing science museum and a newly built nature museum extension into one complex. The proposal suggests a unique public building which showcases nature exhibits while assimilating into the surrounding green environment. The museum develops dynamic relations between its interiors and exteriors, nature exhibitions, and its natural context. It relies on an urban network of sustainable features such as the green promenade and green parks belt, and blends into its natural surroundings by defining a rich architectural vocabulary of patios, courtyards, green terraces and roofs.
